✨In short
Blocking is done on your iPhone or iPad, inside Safari. We never see the pages you visit.
We never ask for your name, email or contacts.
The app has nowhere of ours to send data, so it sends us none.
The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking software.
There is nothing to sell, and we wouldn't.
🗂What AdGone uses, and why
To block what you asked for and leave alone what you didn't
Stays on your device
To show them on the home screen
Stays on your device. They are plain totals, with no record of which sites they came from.
So Safari knows what to block
Downloaded by your device straight from each list's publisher (see below)
To unlock AdGone+
Handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
🧭Safari and the pages you visit
AdGone works through two kinds of Safari extension, and neither sends your browsing anywhere.
- Content blockers (AdGone Ads, Privacy, Annoyances, Security and Custom). AdGone hands Safari a set of rules, and Safari applies them itself. A content blocker can't see which pages you open, and nothing is reported back to the app or to us.
- AdGone Advanced Blocking. Removing video ads, cleaning tracking codes out of links and hiding an element you pick all need access to the page, so Safari asks for your permission first. The extension does this work on your device. It doesn't record the pages you visit and doesn't send them to us or to anyone else.
- With tracking protection on, the extension adds the Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals to requests Safari makes, telling sites you don't want to be tracked, and can shorten the "referrer" other companies' servers receive.
You can turn any AdGone extension off, or limit which sites Advanced Blocking may run on, in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions.
📥Filter lists
AdGone has no server of its own. When filter lists update, your device downloads each one directly from its publisher or the service hosting it, such as EasyList, AdGuard, GitHub, GitLab, jsDelivr, OISD and Peter Lowe's list.
As with any download, that server sees your device's IP address and that a file was requested. The request says nothing about you or about the sites you visit. Each publisher handles its own server logs under its own policy.
🌐DNS protection (optional, part of AdGone+)
DNS protection is off unless you turn it on. When it's on, your device sends its DNS lookups (the names of the sites and services your apps connect to), encrypted, to the DNS service you choose in AdGone:
- AdGuard DNS or AdGuard DNS Family (the default is AdGuard DNS)
- Mullvad DNS
- Cloudflare for Families
- Quad9
- or a custom DNS-over-HTTPS service you enter yourself
That service sees those lookups and your IP address, as any DNS service does, and handles them under its own privacy policy. None of it passes through us, and AdGone keeps no copy. DNS protection is a DNS setting, not a VPN: the rest of your traffic goes where it always did.
Turn it off at any time in AdGone, or remove it in Settings → General → VPN & Device Management → DNS.
💳Purchases
AdGone+ subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple tells the app whether AdGone+ is active; we never receive your name, Apple Account or payment details. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
🙅What we don't do
- Collect, log or look at the sites you visit
- Sell, rent or trade information
- Show ads, or include analytics or tracking software
- Require an account, or collect your name, email, contacts or location
🗑Keeping & deleting data
Everything AdGone stores is on your device: your settings, the downloaded filter lists, the counters, and a short activity log of what the app asked Safari to do (it lists AdGone's own extensions, never the sites you visit). Deleting the app removes all of it. Settings → General in AdGone can also reset your settings.
Because the app sends us nothing, we hold no data about you to delete. If you email us, we keep that email only as long as needed to help you.
If you choose to share crash reports with developers in iOS settings, Apple may share anonymous diagnostics with us.
🎛Your choices & rights
- Safari extensions: turn each one on or off, and choose which sites Advanced Blocking can run on, in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions.
- DNS protection: off by default; choose the service, or turn it off, in AdGone.
- Sites you trust: add them to the allowlist and AdGone leaves them alone.
- Access & deletion: wherever you live, including under GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California, you can ask what we hold about you and ask us to delete it. For AdGone the honest answer is nothing beyond any email you've sent us. We'll respond within 30 days.
🧒Children
AdGone is a general-audience app and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children, or from anyone else. Adult-site blocking is a convenience, not a substitute for parental controls such as Screen Time.
📝Changes to this policy
If we change how AdGone handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
